Communities where nobody knows who you are

Channels and communities inside Umbera. You get a separate pseudonym in every channel, so nobody — not other readers, not the admin, not the server — can see who runs a channel or who follows it.

Feed, channels and discussions

Public and private in one tap. A catalog by topic, country and language, a “For you” feed and your subscriptions.

Discussions right in the feed. Reactions, replies, polls, photos, videos and documents.

Recommendations can be turned off. The setting is stored only on your phone. Your feed languages never leave it.

Comments under a post, written under pseudonyms

A separate pseudonym in every channel

Comments can’t be combined into one profile. Every channel gets its own pseudonym like Raven-77B3, not linked to your account.

A nickname only if you choose. You can sign a single comment with your nickname or name if the admin allows it. Earlier comments stay pseudonymous.

Change your pseudonym any time. New comments go out under the new name.

Private channels, end-to-end encrypted

The channel key is created on your phone. The server stores only ciphertext — posts, comments and files are readable by members only.

Join by request or by link. The admin sees a pseudonym and your message, not your account. Up to 5,000 members.

Links under control. The admin sets how long a link works and how many people can join, and can revoke it.

Four access types. Public, private by request, private by link, and community, where every member can post.

Team and roles. Owner, admin, author — each with their own permissions.

Comments under control. Who can comment, slow mode, word filter, review before publishing.

Communities — everyone can post

Topics. Announcements, questions, free stuff — each topic with its own rules.

Member posts go live at once or after review. The team decides what needs a check.

Neighbors, clubs, alumni. Everyone posts under their own pseudonym in that community.

Stats without tracking

Rounded totals only. Followers, views and reactions as sums — no names, no pseudonyms.

Groups under 10 are hidden. So small numbers can’t point to a specific person.

What we don’t collect. Who exactly read or reacted, or the reader’s country, IP and device.

Free of drug dealers and scammers

Filters before publishing. Drugs, human trafficking, harm to children, weapons, terrorism, fraud, spam. On the server for public channels, on the phone for private ones.

Report anything. A post, comment, channel, member or contact request. Harm to children — Umbera moderation within 24 hours.

Sanctions with the right to appeal. Commenter: hidden → blocked in the channel → restricted on the platform. Channel: frozen → closed.

From comments to a private chat

Only with consent. First a request with a message — the other person accepts, declines or blocks.

You decide what to show. Your name and profile photo appear only after the request is accepted.

Then it’s regular Umbera. Encrypted chats and calls.

Files without hidden metadata

Metadata is removed on the phone. Location and capture time, camera model, author and comments inside the file — before sending, in public and private channels.

The server checks again. Photos and documents arrive without EXIF or author data — verified on real files.

4 languages. English, Russian, German, Italian; dark and light themes.
