1. What is prohibited
Any harm to children: child sexual abuse material, grooming, sexualization of minors. Details: umbera.app/child-safety.
Sexual and explicit content — everywhere, including private channels and between adults.
Harassment, threats, violence and incitement to it, hate speech, terrorism.
Selling drugs, weapons and other illegal goods or services, forged documents, human trafficking.
Fraud, spam and publishing other people’s personal data.
2. How to report
Any post, comment, channel, member or contact request: “⋯” menu → Report, then pick a reason.
Reports about harm to children, violence, illegal or explicit content go straight to Umbera moderation; others go to the channel team.
Child-safety reports are reviewed within 24 hours, others within 72 hours.
Reports are anonymous: neither the channel team nor the author learns who reported.
3. How to hide and block
You can hide any member or channel for yourself: their posts and comments stop showing.
A contact request from Communities can be declined or blocked — nobody can message you without your consent.
The channel team can hide a comment and block a member in the channel.
4. What moderation does
Texts and links are checked by a filter before publishing: on the server for public channels, on your phone for private ones. Re-uploads of removed files are blocked.
Content reported for harm to children is hidden at once, before a moderator decides; other dangerous content — once several independent members report it.
Sanctions for a member: content hidden → blocked in the channel → restricted on the platform. For a channel: frozen → closed.
The author is told the reason for a decision and can appeal it in the app.
5. Privacy during moderation
Private channels are end-to-end encrypted and we don’t scan them. A member’s report attaches the post itself, so moderation sees only what was reported.
Moderation sees a pseudonym, not your account.
6. Adults only
Umbera is for people over 18. Channels with adult topics (without explicit images) get an 18+ label and are not shown in the catalog.
